These Story Submission Terms (“Terms”) govern your submission of travel stories, histories, narratives, or other literary content (“Story”) to Vera Soublechero Alvarez (“I,” “me”) through this website.

PLEASE READ THESE TERMS CAREFULLY BEFORE SUBMITTING YOUR STORY. BY CHECKING THE ACCEPTANCE BOX AND SUBMITTING YOUR STORY, YOU AGREE TO THESE TERMS. IF YOU DO NOT AGREE, DO NOT SUBMIT YOUR STORY.

1. What You Are Granting Me

You grant me, Vera Soublechero Alvarez, an exclusive, worldwide, perpetual, irrevocable, and royalty‑free transfer of all economic exploitation rights over your Story, under all applicable national and international intellectual property laws. This includes, without limitation:

  • Reproduction – the right to reproduce the Story in any format (print, digital, electronic).

  • Distribution – the right to distribute copies to the public.

  • Public communication – the right to communicate the Story to the public, including on the internet, in public readings, broadcasts, and streaming.

  • Transformation – the right to adapt, modify, edit, abridge, expand, translate into any language, and create derivative works (such as screenplays, television series, podcasts, audiobooks, stage plays, etc.).

  • Translation – the right to translate the Story into any language.

  • Commercial exploitation – the right to sell, license, monetize, or otherwise commercially exploit the Story in any medium now known or later developed, without any obligation to pay you additional compensation, royalties, or fees.

The transfer of rights is worldwide and for the maximum term of protection recognized by law (currently life of the author plus 70 years, and thereafter to the extent possible).

2. Moral Rights

Nothing in these Terms limits any non‑waivable moral rights you may have under applicable law. You agree that the editing, translation, adaptation, publication, and commercial exploitation expressly authorized in these Terms will not, by itself, constitute an infringement of your moral rights, provided such use is lawful and does not unjustifiably prejudice your legitimate interests or reputation. I will, where reasonably possible, credit you as the original author, but I am not obliged to do so in all uses.

3. No Compensation

You acknowledge that you are submitting the Story voluntarily and will receive no payment, royalty, revenue share, or any other form of compensation for the use of the Story, regardless of any revenue I may generate from it.

4. Your Warranties

By submitting, you warrant that:

You agree to indemnify me against any claims, damages, or expenses arising from a breach of these warranties.

5. Sensitive Personal Data

You are advised not to include sensitive personal data (such as racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religion, health, sexual orientation, etc.) in your Story. If you nevertheless include such data, you explicitly consent to my processing it for the purposes of exploiting the Story as described.

6. Relationship to Privacy Policy

Personal data you provide with your submission (name, email, etc.) is processed as described in my Privacy Policy. The legal basis for processing your personal data within the Story is the performance of this contract.

7. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by Spanish law. If you are acting as a consumer, this does not affect any mandatory rights you may have under the law of your country of residence. Disputes shall be submitted to the courts legally competent under applicable law.
